Moving

Hi there,

I was offered an opportunity to move my blog to the college server – where my website is also located. I’ve been trying out this new location for some time now and it seems that things work fine.  So time has come to make the next step.

I’m moving the contents of this blog to the new location at http://www3.turistica.si/sarolta/wp/

If you enjoyed following this blog please update your links and come along to the new location. See you there! :-)

P.S.

I’m grateful to Edublogs for all their support these past years. Without James, Sue and the rest of the team this path would have been a lot harder. Take care.

The Connected Traveler is a website worth visiting as you can find blog posts, reviews, guides to destinations and comments of travellers, podcasts and videos about travel (by owner Russell Johnson) and ethical travel and much more.

How about staying connected and telling what you think about the site as a comment below? Would you like to discuss anything from this website during our classes?

Some of you may still be on holiday, others perhaps are planning another holiday somewhere sometime in September. You may be interested in the following articles. They are good reads so I hope you’ll enjoy them.

Two exciting sites for students of tourism interested in travel agency business.

Travolution offers news, blog posts, in-depth analysis, case studies and more – topics that budding travel agents will definitely find interesting and valuable.

TW Academy is actually owned by the same company as Travolution (and the Travel Weekly), but its mission is different. They offer free online courses for travel agents. The 60 courses they offer are organized based on the destination they cover. You want to learn what matters if you want to be good travel agents? This is the site for you.

Trying to keep in touch with English? Here’s a website for you. It’s called English conversations. The authors, Aaron Campbell and Mike White, have created a series of podcasts featuring conversations in English. The topics range from food, music, time, people and travel to other cultural topics connected with Japan, India and Thailand. You can both listen to the recordings and read the transcript, which helps a lot with more difficult bits of language. Some grammatical points are also covered. The stories are most interesting and can be searched through categories and tags. I warmly recommend you the site.
